1. RULES
The rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules limited and local Rules of Sarawak Club Golf Resort govern play
2. THE COMMITTEE
The President's Cup 2010 is under the management of the Persatuan Golf Amatuer Bumiputera Sarawak (PGABS) Tournament Committee. This committee reserves the right to make any alterations to the terms and conditions of this event as it deems fit. It shall also adjudicate any claims, protests or disputes and its decision shall be final.
3. DATE & VENUE
The President's Cup will be played at Sarawak Club Golf Resort, Samarahan District on Saturday, 13 November 2010 @ Morning session.
4. ELIGILIBILITY
Entries are open to PGABS Members only with a valid handicap Index of 21.4 and below. The tournament committee reserved the right to refuse any entry at its absolute discretion.
5. CLOSING DATE
Thursday, 1st November 2010 at 12.00 Noon
6. ENTRY FEES
Entry fees will be RM120.00 for all participants. The fee includes green fees, buggy fees, and lunch.
The fee is not refundable if withdrawal/ cancellation is made after the closing date.
7. DRAW
The competition draw shall be performed by Organising Committee on Friday 9th November 2010 and shall be posted on the www.pgabs.com and SCGR Notice Board latest by 12 Friday 2010.
The committee reserves the right to vary the draw and starting times at its absolute discretion.
8. FORMAT
18 holes of stroke play with Nett event taking precedence over gross.
9. PRIZES
All winners must be present at the prize giving to receive their prize. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize.
10. DECIDING OF TIES
In the event of a tie – All placing shall be determined by a count back in the following order:
- Step 1 - The last nine (9) holes’ gross / nett score, if a tie persists, then,
- Step 2 - The last six (6) holes’ gross/nett score.
- Step 3 - The last three (3) holes’ gross/nett score.
- Step 4 - The last hole’s gross/nett score.
- Step 5 - It shall be decided by lot.
11. TIME OF STARTING
"If the player arrives at his starting point, ready to play, within 5 minutes after his starting time, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is 2 strokes. Penalty for lateness beyond 5 minutes is Disqualification.
Time of start will be on shotgun start indicated by one prolong note of siren
12. TRANSPORTATION
Players shall use buggies on twin sharing basis
13. SUSPENSION OF PLAY
In the event that inclement weather should preclude the completion of this tournament, the organizing committee will meet immediately and notify the participants of its decision.
14. RETURN OF SCORE CARD
Players shall return their score cards as soon as they have finished the stipulated round.
15. CLOSE OF COMPETITION
The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the trophy/prize has been presented to the winner, in the absence of the prize giving ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the committee.
