Sharkawi Mohd Dora (2006 -2008)

When "Saturday Night Fever" film was shown in cinema, Sarkawi (Awie) was already 23 years old and he watched the move thrice. Despite growing up together in the same Kampung, Hj Nasir never dare to get acquinted with him as the former looked up at him as the man to beat.

Like Haji Nasir, Awie was born when Kpg Tupong Ulu was flooding after 2 days of torrential rain. In 1963, Awie started his Primary One at SRK Gita after refusing to go for Tadika. Later he continued his secondary education at St Tom. In school he was once punished by the principal for the things that he never do.

In 1976, Awie was offerred to work with HDC which and now he is the Penolong Pengurus Projek. From 1984-87, he was promoted and transfered to Lawas as Project-In-Charge. With the experience in Lawas, he was later assigned to oversee the projects in Sri Aman.

After short 3-year stint in Sri Aman, he came back to Kuching in 1996 and became one of the Counsel Member of Football Association Sarawak. Currently Awie is still active with NGO sepecially sport associations. He is the Deputy President of Lawn Ball Association and the Secretary General for Sarawak Football Refree Association.

Awi has 3 girls and 2 boys. By any standard, Awi is not only productive but very successful in bringing-up his 5 children. Two of his children were graduated from local universities. His second eldest is currently the Assistant Director JPN tenancing at Putra Jaya and his third is a lecturer at Multimedia Faculty,UiTM. His 4th is still studying at UiTM Shah Alam.

As much as his success in bringing-up his children, his golf is almost a total flop. Hardly any outing he hit below hundred. The only but remotely remembered was his eagle shot at Matang 7 in 2006.

Haji Zabidi pulled him to start hitting golf 10 years ago (1998) at PGC. From then on he is merely a weekend golfer. According to Haji Hadik, "Awie is remembered for his frequent wining of wooden spoon"

"Awi's score card will always returned with 3-digit score" said Karim who is also remotely breaching below 100.
