Saadi Semaon (2006 - 2008)

Regarded by many members as one of the most influential and innovative golfer in contemporary PGABS fiction, Saadi is often referred to as MSc (Master of Shank). His hitting technique has been heavily influenced by a text book he bought from Binatang. Some said, playing with Saadi is suicide-potential.

He is also the regular pool contributor to numerous ballsweeps but despite that he always came back laughing with many unique stories about himself and his flight-mates.

He was born in a boat while his family was towing the sago log. Like other AJK, Saadi was quite normadic in his life. After completing his primary education at Kampung Shank Rajang, he went to Julau for his Form 1. Later he moved to Kanowit Secondary School to continue his Form 2 up to Form 5 . He went to Kolej Tun Dato Tuanku Haji Bujang, Miri for his 6th former and continued his higher education at UPM.

According to him, school life was tough during his time. It took him almost 2 days to reach Julau or Kanowit. He came back home only twice a year. During short school holidays, Saadi used to stay in school and cook the food for himself. "I still remember spending hari raya in school with my Dayak friends" he reminisced. He has only 2 sets of uniform and one set for casual dress to show. Late 1973 Saadi could have been part of Pulau Kidjang statistic had he not missed the particular trip.

He started his employment as LKIM officer after graduating from university and 3 years later moved to SEDC. He will be retiring 19 March 2008.

Going back to the future in 2010, retirees Saadi, Wahid, Ahmad and Abu are out golfing. They are all equipt with the hearing aids.

Abu: "Windy, isn't it?"

Ahmad: "No, it's Tuesday!"

Wahid: " What is your score like?"

Saadi: "So am I. Let's go get Teh Tarik."

In the morning, sending my 9-year girl to school. In the afternoon, I will go to the club improving my game.

Oh.. she is my youngest daughter out of my 4 children. I marry at the age of 45 as I am very choosy about my life partner.

Really true, my kampung mates' name are generally short like Jon, Kaau, Ron but my Identity card has this name printed: Sahdi bin Semaon @ Saadi bin Semaon. My parent has difficulty in tallying my documents.
