ESTABLISHED in April 1996, Damai Golf and Country Club boasts the true elegance of an international standard 18-hole, par 72 golf course. It was the first Arnold Palmer-designed golf course in Malaysia, featuring a Mountain Nine and an Ocean Nine which is remarkably different in character. The setting is truly spectacular, bordering the foothill of Mount Santubong and hugging the beaches, rocky outcrops and mangrove forests of the South China Sea.
With five tees on each hole, Damai Golf and Country Club cater for all golfers with different skill levels.
Damai Golf and Country Club was voted ‘No. 1 Best Golf Course in Sabah and Sarawak’ (Golf Malaysia Magazine, Readers Poll 2003/2004 and 2005/2006).
The Mountain Nine
The first nine offers challenging golf in a rugged, natural rainforest setting, following the contours of Mount Santubong’s foothills, with the mountain providing a spectacular backdrop to most of the fairways.
The Ocean Nine
The second nine is both dramatic and breathtaking, hugging the South China Sea, fringed by mangrove swamp forest, rocky outcrops, scenic fairways and beautiful beaches. Idyllic Satang Island and the coastal ranges of Southwest Sarawak form the backdrop.
