BJ was born on Saturday, 5 Safar 1372 and raised up at Tanjung Jerijeh to a local merchant. As a middle child, BJ is not easy to predict but something else is. And during his younger age, he accompanied his father selling salted fish and sago to Kuching.
BJ started his education at lapidated SRK Jerijeh and went on to become a boarder at SMK Binatang (now Bintangor). Later he pursued accountancy at UITM Shah Alam. Upon graduation, BJ moved to Kuching to join JAN before making a break into private sector involving multi-million timber businesses.
He married a model from Kuching who currently operates popular Barong Tinuk. They have 4 children to hang around with.
BJ is one of the daily features of KGS. At distant, he can be distinguished by his short, which exposes his grilled legs. On the tee-box, BJ has the greasy swing
Off the course, BJ is a kind of person who is always willing to work long, hard to push project through completion. Haji Nasir said BJ is patient with details and this come with his love for music. And Haji Zabidi has this to say- “BJ fulfils obligation, highly systematic and orderly. Sometime serious but sincere, honest and faithful”.

What made you started playing golf?
I used to play tennis at prison Tennis Club but Prison GOLF CLUB refused to sell drink to me as I was not a member. So… I enrol as a member.
When was the last time you play terrible golf and why?
Too many times including the latest at Eastwood Valley on 12th February 2007. I was skinned-off by Haji Chalon, Omarali and Saadi. I was’t sure the reason why!
Which Hollywood actress would you consider going for a date with?
I don’t know any of the younger ones. In my time, I guess it would be Ursula Andress or Brigitte Bardot.
If you could meet anyone from the past, who would it be and what would you say to him/her?
If I could meet Payne Steward, I would tell him to play with me at Siol during rainy season.
If a genie granted you a wish, what would you wish for?
I will ask for 2 things. One is hole-in-one during the big tournament and another is to look younger.
Between sunset and sunrise, which do you prefer?
3S – I will smoke, sing and if I am not tired, having sex
If you were stranded on an island and you could only bring 3 things with you, what would it be?
I would prefer my club, titliest balls and my wife. They are both essential and necessary.
If today is your last day on earth, what would you have for dinner?
My most favourite meal is linut, umai and sago.
