Most popular golfers for the right reasons
- Gohor @ Roshan shot 4 birdies on the first day at Tering Bay. In addition, he reached the green with 2 strokes on two par-5 hole, however he failed to convert an eagle. He was playing alongside Hj Omar, Haji Musa and Kiprawi.
- Whilst Hj Omar missed an Eagle putt at Hole 2 par-5, Wan Saadi converted the only Eagle after both players reached the green in 2. It was the only eagle shot since the inception of the tour in 2003.
- Kiprawi said he was just playing a 'practice' round - a lame excuse after playing badly since day 1.
The most popular golfers during the trip but one way or another for the wrong reasons
- Haji Zaidi’s handicap was as big as his body size. He is 6” 2’ and weight 94 kgs. Enough rest at night but his golf lost traction.
- Haji Musa came back red-faced and flying saliver after every round
- Dillah Ahmad was part-time bodyguard.
- Hariffin was very busy with his task as Liaison officer but not good enough in handling transportation.
- Haji Ismail Dol was popular for snailing due to his body weight.
- Wan Hashim became the subject of Sukiman’s jokes.
- Sukiman galvanised the fun especially in the bus. He injected thrills, fun, and of course his blatant lies.
- Kiprawi claimed that he came to Batam just to have practice round
- Haji Zabidi was tagged by the locals as ‘itu kawan bapak yang rambut putih”
- Zamhuri with his hair-style
- Saadi got his stiff neck on the second day with the reason only known to him???
