Oslan edged 99 other Golfers but Abdul Rani missed Hole-in-One
Damai (Sat) – DGCC hot property, Oslan Mustapha, with his renowned short game in sparkling order, grabbed a one-shot lead and edged 99 other golfers during the Klinik Waqaf An-Nur Charity Golf at Damai Golf and Country Club today. Eighteen handicapper Abdul Rani Awang Daud missed by an inch, a WAJA Cam Pro - a take home prize for Hole-in-one.
Oslan collected 38 points in a System-36 stableford which earned him a Taylor Made Golf Set plus a golf bag. Lawas favourite, Mohamad Lokman Mustaffa settled at second place with 37 points, won on OCB against Sarikei-born, Zainudin Akup who was at the 3rd placing.
The rest of the 7 competitors collecting 36 points each ranked on OCB were Stocky Kuchingite, Muas Sebli (4th), Mirian, Abd Taib Gembar (5th), PGC favourite, Johari Aman (6th), Selamat Semian (7th), KWSP player and crowd favourite, Kiprawi Osman (8th), Jerijih boatman, Bajuri Jaujie (9th) and erratic player, Hardy Abu Bakar in the tenth placing.
Under novelties category, Environmentalist Azlan Mohamad Salleh and Sabahan Ivan Ongkili won the NTP at hole 3 and hole 6 respectively. Another Sabahan, banker Redzuan Rauf won the NTL at hole 4 whilst small man from Sibu, Lee Kah Ming won the Longest Drive at Hole 8 with 250 meters.

On the flip side, Suut Rambli was lucky to escape injury after Secretary's ball sliced into his head at hole 18 par 5. He was walking into the buggy and went into cover when he heard 'fore' signal. Fortunately the ball missed his skull and landed into his back palm covering his head.
