Ninth KARAMBUNAI AMATEUR OPEN 2008

Save for Kalana Ibrahin, non of our golfers qualify to play in the third day final round. Kalana, playing 75 gross score ranked himself in the 5th position. Roslan, who started promisingly, never play his normal game. He collected only 6 pars leaving others including himself wondering.

Aziz fared better as he collected 2 birdies and 8 pars, making a return of 81. However, despite having 2 birdies, Waili carded 84 as he boogies 10 holes. Zainuddin made his worst Sabah outing as he played birdieless. He pared 5 holes. Haji Jalil, nursing from food poisoning, came back with devastating 91 gross score.

Ibrahim Mokarat continued his raptured game but with slight improvement.

His age suggests that he is about to enter his prime and has every reason to look ahead. Today, together with Abdul Jalil, Roslan posted 80 gross scores in a breezy and wet condition at Nexus Golf Resort Karambunai, Sabah. Both Roslan and Abdul Jalil positioned themselves at 14 position on overall leaderboard. Kelana Ibrahim was second with 74 gross score.

Last week , Roslan was third during the SASKE CUP at Damai Golf & Country Club returning 76 gross score, two strokes behind the leader Waili Abang.

Whilst Roslan was consistent in his game, Waili Abang, returning a gross score of 84, an excess of 10 strokes from the SASKE outing. An out-of-form, Zainudin Akup, struggling to bring back his game, equalled the yoyo Waili Abang. He posted 38 on the first nine but went parless after resuming the 30-minute-rain break.

Shahminan was playing his normal game but the ponds were too much to be negotiated. Shahminan carded 82 gross score. Era Kristal, reserved player, Ibrahim Mokarat played his 'exhibition golf' and posted a gross score of 103.
