KGS (Thu @ 3 April) - This morning an emergency meeting was convened between the captains of various teams and the Tournament Committee pertaining to the postponement of the Team Matchplay on 29 March 2008.

Speaking on behalf of the Teams were Wilfred Landong, Dr Tan and Zainuddin Akup whilst Alvin was assisted by the Club Captain. Inter-alia, Wilfred Landong raised an issue of unwelcome arbitrary postponement of the match play and without proper consultation with the affected parties. The postponement greatly hurts the members' private program and feeling.

Dr Tan disagreed with Club Captain when the later said the postponement was for the interest of everybody. He asserted that the postponement was for the interst of few people only. Zainudin Akup questioned the club failure to respond to members' written enquiry despite objections were faxed much earlier.

Everybody were surprise when Club Captain claimed thet he did mentioned about Ching Ming in the last meeting. Zainuddin said there is not such statement made. The later was supported by a few others who attended the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed that the manner the game was postponed was not quite right and both the Club Captain and the Tournament Chairman apologised to all the representatives. Captain assured the members that the committee will not repeat the same mistakes in the future.

It was aslo agree that there is no need to have open apology but sufice to be written in the minutes of Meeting. Proposal by Omar to discontinue all the remaining matches recieved no support but Sukiman's request to have no games on 26 April was agreed by TC.

It was also agreed that the club to continue with the remaining game on 5th April and and to be played on both Saturday and Sunday.
