PGABS second Team under the auspice of Haji Calon facing the uphill task going into the second round after crashing 4-1 during the KGS Inter Team Matchplay today. The team bundled into the loser's pool together with GERTAQ and GMSB.

According to Captain Hadix; "Everything was right except for the winning points". The match started late morning due to the inclement weather condition but despite the soggy ground the spirit of the players were high.

It was Abu Bakar Suhai and Dillah Ahmad saved the team from further humiliation. Their combination scrambled from behind and posted 3-1 win in the four-some category. Both singles Tan and Bakhtiar came back with deficit 2-1. Combination of Hadix and Haji Musa carded the biggest overdraft of 3-1. Kiprawi and Annuar came back halved.

Except for Dillah and partner, the rest of the players failed to play with the level of mental strength required for the match play. I have played with Karim in many occassion and he should not be left-out during this crucial match. Singles players must not take the match lightly and practice should be the answer.

We never singled out the team to go further in view of their right blend of players. With the right combination, we are confident the team will excel. The important thing is to identify where we made mistakes, and simply solve them more intelligently.
