Dear members,
Welcome Back and Happy New Year! 2007 has been an eventful year for our Persatuan and enjoyed an unprecedented recognition by both our members and allies. A lot of deals has been made not only within the state but across borders. SASKE Cup has attracted golfers throughout the state and our golfers has played very well during the final at Desaru. In addition, we were part of Visit Malaysia Year 2007.
Like I said before, nobody can succeed without thinking of partnering or synergy. And our relationship with DGCC has created value. We created new experience for golfers so that they can have fun, love the game at the same time improving their skill. We became valued partner in promoting golf in the State. For year 2008 both parties are already looking beyond and thinking forward to more comprehensive and integrated working alliance. The discount arrangement with Holiday Inn group of Hotels has somehow benefited both parties.
We have stolen the show in doing things great and interesting. We created the first President's Cup. Celebrated our 10th year anniversary. Our membership drive gained traction and doubling the numbers within less than two years. This achievement epitomised how well our members support their own association. Here, I am proud to note that our Committee members has proven their capabilities and I enjoyed working with them. Special respect to our Penaung, Datuk YB Haji Talib Zulpilip who supported us all the way. We felt privilege to be associated with him.
However, we cannot dwell on history as we have daunting tasks in 2008. Managing a non-profit organization is a tall order and NOT for a faint hearted. Let us together put our heart and mind into making PGABS very functional and purposeful. We must look beyond our borders and think big and smart. After 10 years in the market, the environment is changing drastically. Let not be emotional about changes to be made to PGABS as we must think outside the box. We can no longer do things the old ways. We must keep abreast with time and globalization. At the end of the day, PGABS must not be obsolete.
Thank you very much and let's work together.
YB President

Hi PGABS members,
I fully agree PGABS must go for change. Don't be so sentimental about past event and past committee. The past can be obsolete but the club association must move on. The fact you are having blogsite like this is already moving away from the past.
Eagle to the PGABS members,
Looking at the whole AJK, they have sacrificed their time of which most of the AJK are from the coperate world and time was precious to them. Their spirits was so high and we must salute on what they have done and contribute with their time and money. Hope they would continue on and please don't change them. They can get new faces who has the same capability of 'lagi idup, lagi ngelaban' if any. Adios and best of year 2008. I believe the secretary general had done a beautiful and tideous job which i belief not many people can do it.
Dear PGABS members
The interview with the deputy president was so amazing and we belief PGABS will be going one step further with all the input. Shabas~!
Dear PGABS secretary,
For your info, I am in the previous committee and we hardly had any meetings in a year. I congratulate the present committee which is so dedicated despite of voluntary work. We as members, would love that this spirit would not die away and more fire in order to put PGABS in a world class association.
Syabas PGABS
Org Melayu pun ada kelas. Ada blog juga macam macam ada. ASTRO bah...
I'm a lady and was a bit sad why PGABS never want to recruit us. Please put your signage and poster at the golf club or even form to join in.
Thank you.
Hi PGABS
Are you satisfied with only 3 golf tournaments? We want you to organise more and make sure your deputy president to put more effort for our younger generation and hopefully he can create Tiger Woods from SARAWAK which we believe he can do it!
